Sustainable Development Goals (Sdgs)
Our tree-planting supports 10 of the 17 UN SDGs, advancing both environmental sustainability and community well-being, and turning global goals into real change. Want to explore how your business can contribute?
Ending Poverty
Globally, over 700 million people live in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $2 a day. In Indonesia, 24.7 million people face the same condition (World Bank, 2020). Ending poverty is key to building equality and stronger communities.
Through tree planting, we help reduce poverty by:
Optimizing high-demand non timber products through multipurpose trees cultivation to boost local income.
Giving tree-growing partners ownership of planted trees and the right to harvest non-timber products.
Supporting vulnerable communities in disaster-prone areas, where millions of people in proverty live.

Zero Hunger
In 2024, 8.2% of the world’s population faced hunger. Indonesia ranked 77 out of 127 countries on the 2024 Global Hunger Index with 7.2% of its population lacking food security. By 2030, the UN aims to ensure access to nutritious food for all, focusing on sustainable farming, reducing food waste, and building climate-resilient crops.

Through tree planting, we strengthen food resilience by:
Boosting crop yields and promoting fruit tree cultivation with agroforestry.
Promoting dryland paddy cultivation to enhance rice production in drought-prone areas.
Implementing Silvo fisheries that combine mangroves with aquaculture that produce fish and crustaceans.
Gender Equality
Gender quality ensures women have equal rights and opportunities in every aspect of life. This goal seeks to close gaps in education, employment, and leadership, up hold equal rights, and create a more inclusive society.
Gender Equality
Gender quality ensures women have equal rights and opportunities in every aspect of life. This goal seeks to close gaps in education, employment, and leadership, up hold equal rights, and create a more inclusive society.
Our tree-planting programs promote gender equality by:
Involving women as tree-growing partners with equal access to training and development. 25% of our tree-growing partners are women.
Employing women as nursery workers, providing local women with skills and income. In 2024, 49% of our nursery workers were women.
Clean Water and Sanitation
Clean water and sanitation are vital for health, yet billions still lack access. This goal focuses on improving water systems, protecting water resources and improving hygiene for a healthier, more sustainable future.

Our tree-planting support water conservation, improving access to water by:
Planting trees in watersheds to prevent erosion, sustain water flow, and support local irrigation.
Planting water-conserving tree species around springs to secure clean water sources.
Planting drought-resistant tree species around in drought-prone areas (30% of our sites are located in drought-prone areas).
Decent Work and Economic Growth
A strong economy begins with fair, decent work for all. This goal promotes quality jobs, sustainable growth, and safe conditions – improving livelihoods, reducing inequality, and building resilient communities.

A strong economy begins with fair, decent work for all. This goal promotes quality jobs, sustainable growth, and safe conditions – improving livelihoods, reducing inequality, and building resilient communities.
Our tree-planting supports decent work and economic growth by:
Engaging young farmers in reforestation, empowering them to build a sustainable future.
Creating new job opportunities through nursery and field team employment.
Fostering an inclusive workplace with equal opportunities and social security benefits for all staff.
Climate Action
Climate change is changing our world, with temperatures 1.2 C above pre-industrial levels. Rising heat, storms, and extreme weather highlight the urgent need to cut emissions and build resilience to protect our planet.

Climate change is changing our world, with temperatures 1.2 C above pre-industrial levels. Rising heat, storms, and extreme weather highlight the urgent need to cut emissions and build resilience to protect our planet.
Our tree-planting supports climate action by
Planting 15.9 million trees (2008 - 2024), sequestering over 3 billion kg of CO2e
Expanding urban forestry to reduce emissions and coastal planting to optimize blue carbon capture.
Engaging the younger generation through education and tree-planting collaborations with 27 universities and schools.
Life Below Water
Healthy oceans are vital for life on Earth – regulating climate, providing food, and sustaining biodiversity. Yet, 30% of fish stocks are overexploited, threatening ecosystems. Promoting sustainable fishing and marine conservation is key to restoring ocean health and securing future resources.

Our tree-planting supports healthier coastal and marine ecosystems by:
Restoring degraded coastal areas in Java with mangroves and coastal pines to prevent tidal surges and erosion.
Planting native mangrove species to revive natural ecosystems and habitats for marine and coastal biodiversity.
Life on Land
Restoring and protecting nature keeps our planet thriving. Today, 75% of Earth’s land has been changed by human activity, causing habitat loss and declining biodiversity. Through conservation and sustainable land use, we can bring back balance and protect ecosystems for the future.

Our tree-planting restores degraded land, supporting life on land through:
Planting trees in forest and community areas across rural, urban, and coastal landscapes.
Protecting biodiversity by planting in habitats where native, endangered, and vulnerable Indonesian species live.
Preserving native trees - 64% of the trees we plant are Indonesian species.
Partnership for the Goal
Achieving global sustainability depends on collaboration. Governments, businesses, and communities must work together, share resources, and take collective action to drive meaningful change and build a better future.
