Our Impacts
Together with our supporters, we plant trees to create a positive impact for the environment and people by restoring ecosystem and biodiversity and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
Ecosystem Restoration
Through tree-planting programs, we restore the degraded ecosystem, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, conserve water and soil, and revitalize coastal areas, contributing to global sustainability and climate action.
Sustainable Livelihoods
Our tree-planting programs empower local communities through sustainable farming – enhancing income, skills and capacity, women’s empowerment, and job opportunities, strengthening communities resilience and improving overall well-being.
Biodiversity Restoration
Our tree planting supports biodiversity by restoring ecosystems, safeguarding wildlife habitats including those of rare and protected species and sustaining ecological balance.
Our Commitment to SDGs
The impact we create together with our supporters contributes to
10 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
bringing benefits to both people and the environment.
Impacts We Create
Since 2008, we’ve planted over 15 million trees across tropical Indonesia. Together with our partners and supporters, we’ve created environmental and social impacts that generate:
3.14+ million tons of
CO2e captured
helping mitigate climate change
+ 10,500 hectares
of land restored
balancing ecosystem and supporting biodiversity and local community
+ 55 hectares of coastal areas greened
expanding green belts, restoring coastal habitat, and protecting communities from tidal surge
570 villages supported
preventing environmental degradation, including drought, landslides, and flooding
+ 6000 women
empowered
each year, taking roles as tree growers, nursery workers, and field team, ensuring gender equality
+ 1000 local people
employed each year
creating job opportunities through nursery and planting operation
+ 20 sustainable farming topics delivered
training an average of + 3,800 farmers in 176 villages each year with practical skills
62 from 92 planted tree species are native
preserving biodiversity and protecting local ecosystem
Why Trees?
Trees give more than shade. They breathe life into our planet, providing the air we breathe, the water we drink, and nourishing the soil that grows our food. They sustain all life on Earth.
